In 1997, to help lower the risk of head injuries in the game of football, Bobby Hosea started Train ‘Em Up Academy, Inc., a 501 (C) 3 Not-for-Profit Corporation with full IRS tax exempt status. Additionally, Bobby developed his unique, tackle training system to teach players how to identify and avoid the physical mechanisms that lead to headfirst impact when attempting to tackle a ball carrier.

Statistically, 75 percent of our youth football players will not go on to play at the high school level. The game of football inspires passion, confidence and discipline in our children. These are all qualities that are extremely valuable in their development, but improper training puts them at risk and the price paid by our children and parents is much too high.

For over a decade, Bobby’s revolutionary approach toward tackle training has measurably lowered the incidence of headfirst collisions on every level of football competition.

Our Mission at Train ‘Em Up Academy, Inc. is to ENLIGHTEN football players to identify the physical mechanisms that lead directly to headfirst impact as the primary cause of catastrophic brain, neck and spinal cord injuries.

We will EMPOWER players to avoid headfirst contact during live football competition.

Finally, we will EDUCATE Parents, Coaches, Trainers, Game Officials and Athletic Administrators on how to recognize and prevent unsafe tackling techniques.
